The Berkshire Eagle is an American daily circulated newspaper which is based in Pitssfield, Massachusetts, United States. It is one of the oldest newspapers and its daily edition began since 1891.
History –

In the year 1789, the Western Star was founded as weekly paper and is beginning of the present The Berkshire Eagle newspaper. The Eagle won the Pulitzer Prize in the year 1973for Roger B. Linscott editorial writing.

The newspaper began its daily publication in the year 1891 and is running successfully. It publishes the news in broadsheet format and the present owner of the company is MediaNews Group. Andrew Mick is the publisher of the newspaper whereas Tim Franks is serving as the editor.

It covers all the local news in its editions and mostly it has coverage of the news in Berkshire County and four other New York communities surrounding Pittsfield.
