The San Diego Union-Tribune is an American daily newspaper based in San Diego, California. The newspaper covers all the major news across the state along with national news and had a good readership.
The present newspaper is said to be the merger of San Diego Union newspaper and San Diego Evening Tribune newspaper. In the year 2012, it was named as U-T San Diego but later in 2015 it was renamed as The San Diego Union-Tribune.
In the year 1868, on October 10th, the San Diego Union newspaper was founded and San Diego Evening Tribune was started in 1895 December 2nd. At present the newspaper is owned by the Tribune Publishing Company which is said to be the owners of other major newspapers like Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune and various other newspapers.
Timothy E. Ryan is the publisher of the newspaper and Jeff Light is the present editor for the San Diego Union-Tribune news paper.
