Sakshi is a Telugu newspaper which is published daily from all the 23 districts in Andhra Pradesh and the 4 major metros of the country. The paper is owned by Jagriti Publications whose owner is Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy who is the son of the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y.S.R. Reddy. The headquarters of the newspaper is based in Hyderabad and the operations are being taken care of by Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. The editor of the newspaper is V. Murali.

Being owned by the Andhra politician Y. Jaganmohan Reddy the newspaper has a political bent towards the party of its owner. Sakshi has become a pioneer in itself by being the first newspaper to publish all its pages in colour a feat which has not been achieved by even the top newspapers of the world.

History of Sakshi News paper :

The newspaper is a new addition to the print media being launched just about 5 years ago on March 24th 2008. The paper was the first regional newspaper in India which was designed by Mario Garcia who is known globally for designing newspaper. The newspaper created an Indian record by launching 23 editions at one go and the same has been recorded in the Limca Book of Records. Its success has inspired the Mudra Communications Ahmedabad to pay a visit to the offices of Sakshi to make a case study of its success.
