The Houston Chronicle is an American daily newspaper based in Houston, Texas, U.S. It is said to be the largest newspaper in the Texas and as per the Sunday circulation, this newspaper is considered as the 3rd largest newspaper in the United States.

History –

In the year 1901, Marcellus E. Foster has founded the Houston Chronicle and the first edition was printed on October 14th the same year. Within a short span the newspaper became popular and then it was undertaken by Jesse H. Jones in 1926.

At present, Hearst Corporation is the owner of this newspaper as the company purchased the Houston Chronicle newspaper on May 1st 1956. Jack Sweeney is the present publisher of the newspaper while Jeff Cohen is serving as the editor.
